No matter where life takes me; I’ve found a wonderful and amazing person that I will stay close to forever

Devolution

A pure light rose in the east.

Night fled utterly astonished.

With no shadows, progress was arrested.

The affairs of men were in plain view.

A counsel was convened to discuss man’s plight,

the nuisance of being exposed by the light.

Those most artful in the affairs of men schemed to bring forth the night again.

Machinations were crafted and resolutions were drafted.

Meanwhile, equity continued to take its toll.

Those who earned the wealth of nations were deprived justice.

The unworthy basked in the sunlight and multiplied-

a cancer metastasizing through the corridors of Zion. 

In the hidden valley, Gredel’s heirs toiled.

The hope of men they aimed to foil.

In the end they developed a proton laser,

which they affectionately named Occam’s Razor.

At last, when the laser was unleashed,

it pierced the light and the illumination ceased. 

And there was much rejoicing in the mansions on East Egg

and in the bowels of Hades.

Having no time to myself is the only way I can fight it
When I’m alone it’s like I’m staring into a mirror
Don’t know the person inside it and that’s never been any clearer
